Programme Details

Admission to study is governed by Articles 48 to 50 of the Act and Article 4 of the TUL Statute.
The Faculty publishes the deadline and method of submission of the application forms, the conditions of admission, the deadline, and the method of verification of their fulfillment. If the Entrance examination is a necessary part of the admission, the Faculty publishes also the form and the framework content of the examination and criteria for its evaluation. The application deadline and application fee are in the table below.

The required documents for admission:

  • filled e-application
  • certified copies of Bachelor diploma and other certificates that support academic qualification
  • Recognition of Bachelor degree in the Czech Republic – more info here
  • curriculum vitae (incl. exact permanent and contact postal addresses)
  • letter of motivation
  • three letters of recommendation
  • confirmation about the application fee payment
  • certificate of English language course (min. level B2) if the candidate applied for
    a master study programme accredited in English and if the English language is not the official language of the applicant’s country of origin
  • certificate of Czech language course (min. level B2) if the candidate applied for
    a master study programme accredited in the Czech language and if the applicant is not a citizen of the Czech Republic and does not have previous education in a study programme accredited in the Czech language.

After completing and submitting the electronic application forms, their printed and signed originals (scans), together with all other required documents, will be accepted by the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Textile Engineering of Technical University of Liberec, Studentská 2, 461 17 Liberec 1, Czech Republic.

Graduates will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the whole area of textile and clothing technologies, mainly based on the understanding of basic principles and processes, and on the development of corresponding intellectual skills. They will master both the technical part and the part related to textile structure and properties. Upon graduation, they will have developed the ability to work independently and be technically creative. They can be employed immediately in clothing and textile production, in managerial, research, or educational spheres. They can adapt to working at other branches, especially technical. They are capable of further independent qualification growth. They can approach problems in a complex way, i.e. from the viewpoint of other than only technical sciences (economy, ecology, and environment).

Since the TUL programmes are recognized by the European Federation of National Engineering Associations FEANI, alumni are eligible for the EUR ING title.
