At present, we offer two three-year bachelor’s programs (Practical Czech Philology and Czech Language and Literature for Education) and one two-year master’s program (Upper-Secondary and Lower-Secondary Education), all of which are taught both full-time and now also part-time.
What can you experience at the department?
A wide range of compulsory-elective courses, which augment the study of the Czech language, Czech literature and their related disciplines with interesting and up-to-date topics. Students can also join the research activities of the department in the framework of Student Research and Art Activities and the Student Grant Competition. They can meet renowned linguists, literary scholars, experts of teaching methodology, as well as important professionals working in the fields of media, advertisement and public relations. It is also possible to participate in our traditional literary study trips to Eastern and North-Western Bohemia that each last several days.
