Bullying

Long-term hostile and humiliating behaviour. Occurs repeatedly and regularly (for example, once a week) and over a period of time (approximately 6 months). It can also take place online (cyberbullying). It is directed against a specific person or group of people. Seriously disrupts workplace relationships and performance.

Examples:

  • Teasing.
  • Insults.
  • Spreading rumours.
  • Refusal to cooperate.
  • Making work tasks unpleasant.
  • Physical or verbal abuse.
  • Repeated criticism in front of other employees.
  • Ignoring the person or partially excluding him/her from the work team.
