A kind of bullying. Targeted and repeated attacks on a person in the workplace by colleagues, consisting mainly of destructive communication. The aim is to weaken the person in general and exclude him/her from the team.
Examples:
- Spreading rumours.
- Systematic disregard for the employee’s opinion.
- Failure to provide information.
- Providing incorrect or deliberately incomplete information.
- Constantly pointing out errors.
- Failure to provide access to resources needed for work (e.g. sharepoint).
- Continually questioning competence.
- Ridicule.
- Failure to acknowledge merit.
